Fenton Street Market Poster

Anthony Dihle of Dirty Pictures was kind enough to send me a few photos from his latest poster project, advertising the Fenton Street Market in Silver Spring, Maryland. Dihle teamed up with letterpress expert Moira McCauley of Bookish Lady to create this experimental poster. The 210 posters were printed on a Vandercook printing press at Pyramid Atlantic in Silver Spring, with a mix of balsa wood art and metal type. I'm digging the vintage ad-inspired type treatments and the very cool illustration (cut out of balsa wood!). Very nice work! |DBK

Decoration Happy

I'm moving to a new apartment this weekend, and I'm in total decorate mode. I may be jumping the gun a little bit, but this is the fun part about moving—reinventing your space! I'm really into the entire CB2 catalog right now, especially this everyday on the beach art print and the lean on me pillow. |DBK
