I took a day trip to the Baltimore Book Festival on Sunday and passed by this really cool window display. It wasn't part of the book festival itself, but it was a nice surprise. I love all the unexpected things I find when I visit Baltimore. |DBK

Scary Spice

I can't believe we're heading into Halloween season already! I spotted these fun Halloween papers on paper crave. Usually, anything Halloween themed tends to be garish and tacky, but making memories has created the Spook Alley Collection—talk about cute and chic. I love the colors and slightly retro vibe. Check out more Halloween papers at makingmemories.com. [via paper crave] |DBK
Words Words Words

Sorry for the brief blogging hiatus, people... life's been busy. But I return with some exciting news! DBK has been named one of The 99 Greatest Blogs You Aren't Reading by 10,000 Words. On the one hand, I'm super-happy to be recognized and included in this list, but that begs the question...why aren't people reading my blog!?? Well. Maybe now they will. Thanks to Mark of 10,000 words, for including DBK in your list! |DBK
Tasty T's

T Magazine is commemorating its 5th anniversary by compiling their favorite artist-commissioned T's. There are some beautiful ones in the group, but here are a few a of my favorites. More here. [via ISO50] |DBK

These shirts by Ugmonk are witty and look good, too. Now in it's 2nd year, Ugmonk continues to stay true to its mission: to stand out from the clutter by creating high-quality products that are simple and fresh. Many more where these came from at the Ugmonk Shop. |DBK
Holiday Cheer

This Little Light Invitation

Light Bright Invitation
I'm really excited to find out that two of my design submissions were chosen as Judge's Pick and Editor's Pick for minted.com's design challenge. It was my first time submitting to the challenge, so I'm thrilled to have been recognized. The challenge was to design an invitation for a holiday party, so I went with designs that felt festive and playful, and not too "holiday season." Check out more of the winning designs at minted.com.|DBK
