First Class

I adore this first-class stamp design by London design studio, Studio Oscar. I wish I had more details about the project, but their website only gives the client name—M&C Saatchi. Can anyone figure out what the illustration says (if it says anything at all)?
DBK readers say: Golden Jubilee. Nice! [via we love typography|DBK

MoMa Summer

A weekend in New York isn't complete without a visit to MoMa. Here are some things I'm excited to see (in the exhibits) and browse (in the store) this weekend. Have a great weekend, everyone! |DBK

Doodle & Wine

A Thursday treat—hand-drawn, doodle-inspired typography on wine bottles. The torn notebook paper detail really makes the design seem a little more DIY. Really nice work by Paprika, a MontrĂ©al-based design studio. It's worth taking time to look at their portfolio, everything is immaculate. |DBK

Vampire Weekend

It's almost the weekend—and naturally, Vampires and Weekends go together. Or maybe that's only the case since I started watching True Blood. Regardless, I'm totally into Megan Cummin's funky hand-drawn type and illustration style. [via We Love Typography] |DBK

Silent by Daniel Justi

Brazilian type designer Daniel Justi was kind enough to send me a note introducing his new semi-serif typeface—Silent. I love the delicate curves that hint at a serif, but the letters stay clean and crisp. For sale now, atMyFonts.com. Thanks, Daniel! |DBK

Surf and Sand

I keep finding myself daydreaming about the beach today. Since it will be a little while before I can be on a beach again, I had to do something to tide me over. A quick search on Etsy resulted in tons of beach-inspired things... and here are a few of my favorites. From the top: Lifeguard Station 2 by Jennifer SquiresGirl from Impanema by Bueller; and Beach Stones Coasters by Meghan Burch. |DBK

Distressed Type

There's something beautiful and moody surrounding these photos of old signs. Displaying photos taken in Prague and various Eastern European cities, the Public Space Typography set on Flickr shows signs in various stages of their lives. [via Ministry of Type|DBK
