Getting Hitched?

Since wedding season is just around the corner, and I'm sort of in the midst of it due to my sister's upcoming wedding, I thought a wedding-centric post would be appropriate. I think the best path to stress-free wedding planning is staying organized. And what better way to stay organized than withRussell + Hazel's stylish and modern wedding notebooks, binders and tools? They even have a section on their website dedicated to wedding ideas and organizational tips, including downloadable PDFs of wedding timelines, budgets and honeymoon travel details. What else do you need? It's all right there.

Manual Labor

Designed by Peter Gregson, this packaging design for The Manual Company feels whimsical and yet very masculine. The Manual Company sells high quality luxury leather, handmade accessories and bags. It's memorable, that's for sure. [via Lovely Package ] |DBK

After a brief blogging hiatus, I'm back with some great typographic illustrations by Penelope Dullaghan. I'm going to use these as color inspiration for my next project. [via oatmeal and cinnamon]|DBK

Image Spark

My image library at Image Spark
Over the last few days I've been playing around with Image Spark by Teehan+Lax, a web tool that lets you upload and create a library of images, for any reason you please. This is a great tool for designers of any media. You can create a library with searchable tags, and the moodboard feature helps you set a specific tone for a project.

Another feature I really like is that when you use Image Spark, you become part of the community, allowing you to browse other user's libraries and moodboards. You get access to endless inspiration, and it's a little addictive. Image Spark totally free to use. Each new account gets 1GB of storage and two moodboards. Check it out yourself at www.imgspark.com. |DBK

Chewing the Cud

It's March! Too bad it still feels like the middle of winter here in DC. It's freezing! Well, here's a little something fun to warm up the day. San Francisco-based company Chewing the Cud has a range of well-designed products that are smart and whimsical. I really like these two cards from their collection. They are both letterpressed on 100% cotton (tree-free) paper. You can buy these cards, or see more from Chewing the Cud on Elsewares.com.|DBK
