There's More than Soccer in Brazil

I am totally enamored with the design style of Brazilian designer and artist Eduardo Recife. He uses found photography and illustration (usually vintage elements) and combines it with hand drawn type or collage. His work has depth—visually, culturally and conceptually. His personal website showcases more of his experimental work, as well as some funky typefaces you can download for free. |DBK

Plastic's Out

DBK reader, Daniel, sent me some photos of a typographic Sigg bottle he spotted recently. There are also a few more nice ones on their website. Reuse and Conserve, people! Thanks, Daniel. |DBK

This Ain't No Filter

Shaz Madani designed a response to promote the M25 motorway in London. One side of the poster gives detailed directions on how to get from one side of London to the other, using back routes. The other side says "wipe away the confusion, take the M25." I just love the overall effect. Check out more of Madani's work righthere. |DBK

Get Your Markers Out

Have you ever found yourself with the need to make an impromptu sign that looked like it was inspired by Atari? If so, this product is just right for you. Just black out the dots on the tape to create letters and symbols to convey your special, hopefully 80s inspired, message. Get your very own right here. [via geeksugar] |DBK

Garish Display

You gotta love to hate these horrible fonts (I refuse to call them typefaces). The names on this site crack me up. (via Speak Up via H & FJ.) |DBK

Tea and Biscuits

Cards that look like biscuits! What will they come up with next! Ok, these cards are too cute. These very realistic biscuit look-a-like cards are debossed and filled with paper for your greeting. They're not actually edible, but they're still delicious. Designed by the D-Bros in Tokyo. Available for purchase at Present&Correct. |DBK
